Introducing Ali

Introducing Ali

This month we introduce Ali, who wears three hats, Activity Instructor, Housekeeping and Kitchen Hand. To help you get to know Ali and understand what she does at Great Aussie Holiday Park, we asked Ali a few questions about herself.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I grew up in Canberra and moved because of the Outdoor Education Degree offered at Charles Sturt University. I have been working as an activity instructor for the past ten years.

I first started working in the outdoor recreation industry for a couple of companies along the south coast and in the southern highlands. I trained through TAFE at Loftus (Sydney) and later Blue Mountains to obtain my certificate 3 and 4 in outdoor recreation. I stayed in the Blue mountains for four years working for various adventure companies before moving to Darwin for two winters (dry season) to work at an activity base camp.

I am secretly a Disney princess!

What do you love most about the Albury/Wodonga region?

I have really found a sense of community since living here.

Why did you choose to work in hospitality?

I really enjoy working with people.

What do you love most about working at Great Aussie Holiday Park?

My role at Great Aussie Holiday Park is a mix of Activity Instructor, housekeeping and kitchen hand, so it gives me variety. I really enjoy working with all ages and seeing individuals achieve more in an activity than they thought possible.
